We are currently seeking a IT Engineer supporting Systems and Network who will provide advanced support to various teams, including Foreman, Superintendents, Project Managers, HQ, and Field Offices, by managing and securing the company’s systems, devices, and network infrastructure. This role will play a strategic part in developing and implementing IT systems and protocols essential to the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically oversee and manage network configurations, firewalls, switches, access points, cloud infrastructure, and virtual systems, ensuring secure, compliant, and reliable connectivity.
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance cybersecurity protocols to safeguard the organization from emerging threats.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex user-related technical issues across mobile devices, remote offices, network connectivity, and VPN.
- Proactively design solutions to streamline issue resolution and improve end-user experience.
- Implement, administer, and support MS Azure, Active Directory, SSO, MFA, and IAM, managing secure access for both onsite and remote users.
- Develop and enforce identity management best practices, including documentation and compliance procedures.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives for device provisioning, deprovisioning, and IT orientation, ensuring seamless onboarding and offboarding processes aligned with security standards.
- Partner with consultants and vendors to evaluate and implement enhanced infrastructure solutions.
- Oversee endpoint management solutions and coordinate the administration of Data Management Systems, prioritizing compliance and secure file management.
- Direct security monitoring and threat detection tools, taking a proactive approach to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve security issues swiftly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and technical expertise.
- 5-7+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure, and security management within a large commercial enterprise or government environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Active Directory, MFA, SSO, Entra ID, conditional access, and identity protection.
- In-depth experience with Fortinet technologies, Ubiquiti Access Points, SDWAN configurations, and multi-user, hybrid technology environments.
- Proven expertise in cybersecurity, including risk assessment, threat management, and vulnerability mitigation.
- Strong adaptability and resilience under pressure, with the ability to independently prioritize tasks in dynamic environments.
- Exceptional communication skills for cross-team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience.
